Balloon and water again!

I can't help it. I must try again. hahaha. this time, I tried with coloured water, and the result turned out slightly sharper than the one I had last night. yeay  :D

Speed and the right timing

Found a few balloons in the drawer, decided to take two of them to test my camera's speed. the photos didn't come out as sharp as I expected, but this is close enough. I am therefore, a happy girl :-)

I just really love how the water takes up the shape of the balloon and remain that way for about a millisecond. I caught it with my eyes, AND the camera :)

"To understand yourself is the beginning of wisdom"

This 9gag post here reminded me of one of the projects I have collaborated and work on. I did it with some of the most amazing and supportive people late last year. (I have posted it up on youtube, you may check it out here) It was about fighting against the pressure to be perfect. Through that simple project, all the research and interviews we have to do, all that going through the darkest parts of our hearts. We all changed just because we start to understand.

I remember holding back tears in a teacher's room because of what I think I am incapable of because of what others can do but I cannot do. I am addressing this not because I am desperate for attention. But I am addressing this to let anyone reading this know, (and as cliche as this sounded) You ARE beautiful and unique in your own way. The same teacher then said to me, "never compare yourself to anyone. never let anyone else compare you to others. Because you are you. Everyone is different. Even identical twins, although they share the same genetic traits, they are different from one another. They have their own hearts, own brains, own thinking, own pace. Nobody on earth is the same." 

In addition to that, I'd like you to know that I would also usually remind myself... Although it is not pretty when someone else insult us, or mock us, or jeer us... But we must remember, if the shoe some how fits... Make a change, not for them... But for yourself. I understand that it is not acceptable that someone can call us ugly, a failure, stupid, worthless, useless it is not acceptable that someone can tell us that we cannot. It is unacceptable for you to tell yourself that you are worthless because you are not as pretty as the gal next door, it is unacceptable for you to tell yourself you are worthless if you are not as skinny as a stick, it is unacceptable for you to tell yourself that you are worthless if you don't have grades as good as another person, it is not acceptable for you to tell yourself you are worthless if you are not what someone else is. It is unfair. Because as I said, everyone is beautiful and unique in their very own ways. And you are worth it.

But we must know that, it is acceptable for people to point out you made a mistake along the line and you need to correct it. "Success is not final, failure is not fatal, what matters is the courage to continue"

No one in this world is flawless. We are full of flaws. But always remember the 3 'C's in life. "CHOICE. CHANCE. CHANGE. Make a choice to take a chance, or your life will never change"
